Checking your real usage

The cost figures shown in Settings → Dashboard and Settings → Logs are estimates calculated from your configured per-token rates and the token counts reported by (or estimated for) each request — not a live read of your account balance. For the actual, authoritative number, check your provider’s own usage dashboard:

• OpenAI — platform.openai.com → Usage
• Google Gemini — aistudio.google.com → Usage and billing (or the Google Cloud Console billing dashboard, if billed through a GCP project)
• OpenRouter — openrouter.ai → Activity

If the extension’s estimate and your provider’s dashboard disagree by more than a few percent, the most common cause is a stale or hand-edited token price in a saved configuration (Settings → LLM Providers → edit) rather than a bug in either number — token prices aren’t fetched live, so an update to a provider’s published rate won’t show up in the extension until you update it there too.
