Login & Subscription
Login methods
Section titled “Login methods”You can sign in with Google or email/password — or skip signing in entirely and use FlashTranslate.Net as a guest. Guest mode gives you full access to all three translation features, with up to 2 saved LLM configurations and no cross-device sync.
Subscription & cloud sync
Section titled “Subscription & cloud sync”Signing in doesn’t require a subscription — a signed-in free account still has the same 2-configuration limit as guest mode. Subscribing (see Pricing) removes that cap and turns on real-time cloud sync: your LLM configurations, including API keys (end-to-end encrypted in transit), sync automatically across every device where you’re signed in.
If your subscription lapses
Section titled “If your subscription lapses”Your cloud data isn’t deleted when a subscription ends or is cancelled. You get a short grace period during which the extension can still fetch your existing cloud-stored configuration down to a device — after that grace period is used up, you’ll need to re-enter your API key manually on any device that hasn’t already synced it locally. When this happens, a dialog prompts you to choose whether to keep or clear your locally stored configurations.
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”Signing out always clears your login session. You’re asked whether to also clear your locally stored LLM configurations, or keep them (re-encrypted locally) for continued use in guest mode. Your app settings (language, feature toggles, etc.) and local translation logs are never affected by signing out — they’re device-local and not tied to your account.
Cancelling and refunds
Section titled “Cancelling and refunds”Cancelling is not a refund: it turns off the next renewal and you keep subscriber features until the end of the paid period. For a Chrome/Paddle subscription, open Manage subscription in the extension; Paddle then hosts the cancellation flow. Refund requests are made from the Request refund or Manage subscription link in Paddle’s transaction receipt email and are reviewed by Paddle under its policy and applicable consumer law. Safari/App Store subscriptions are cancelled in Apple’s system subscription settings and refunds must be requested from Apple.
See the Refund Policy for the complete channel-specific process.
